Sun glasses
Also known as sunglasses, the transmittance of visible light is about 20%, and the absorption of ultraviolet and infrared rays is better. There are light green, light gray, light tea and other colors, used to make sunshade and snow work protective glasses. Among them, light gray lenses have the least influence on color identification; light tea glasses make the blue sky look dark and reduce the transmission of green light; light green lenses reduce the transmission of red light.
Goggles for gas welding
The colorants used in this kind of lens are mainly iron oxide, cobalt oxide, etc., which are yellow green. They can absorb all the light waves with wavelength below 500urn. The transmittance of visible light is below 1%, and only a small amount of infrared can pass through. This kind of glasses is specially used for gas welding.
Eye protection glasses for welding
The ultraviolet radiation produced by electric welding can cause damage to cornea and conjunctiva (the most serious is 28nm light). The intense infrared ray produced can easily cause lens opacification. Welding goggles can well block the above infrared and ultraviolet rays. This kind of lens is based on optical glass, using iron oxide, cobalt oxide, chromium oxide and other colorants, and adding a certain amount of ceria to increase the absorption of ultraviolet light. The appearance is green or yellow green. The infrared transmittance is less than 5%, and the visible transmittance is about 0.1%.
Protective glasses against solid debris
It is mainly used to prevent mechanical damage to eyes caused by metal or gravel debris. The lens and frame shall be of strong structure and resistant to impact. The frame is surrounded by a cover, on which there should be ventilation holes. Toughened glass, glued glass or copper wire mesh can be used as protective lenses.
Protective glasses against chemical solutions
Chemical eye injury refers to the corneal burn caused by acid-base liquid or corrosive smoke entering the eyes during the production process, such as using sodium hydroxide, operating calcium oxide tank, conveying pipes containing corrosive liquid or gas, cyanide or nitrite splashing during metal quenching, etc. Protective glasses against chemical solutions are mainly used to protect eyes from chemical damage caused by irritating or corrosive solutions. Ordinary flat lens can be selected, and the frame should be covered to prevent the solution from splashing in. Usually used in laboratories, hospitals and other places, general medical glasses can be universal.
Anti ultraviolet mirror
The absorption rate of visible light and ultraviolet light is high when the ultraviolet absorbing chemicals are melted into the optical glass. According to the needs of different types of work, the lenses are respectively installed on the frame, mask or helmet. At present, the welding lens made of liquid crystal can turn black in 0.001 ~ 0.002s when meeting strong light, which can protect the welding operator from electro-optic ophthalmia.
High temperature resistant protective glasses
The lens is made of high temperature resistant glass, which can absorb part of infrared rays. It is used for foreman, stoker, forge, pyrotechnics, foundry, glassmaker, etc.
Radiation protection glasses
Lead is added into optical glass for X-ray, γ - ray, α - ray and β - ray operators.
Microwave protective glasses
Microwave is a kind of electromagnetic wave with a wavelength of about 1nm-lm. It can also cause harm to people, especially eyes. If under the action of strong microwave, it can cause eye fatigue, eye dryness and dizziness, and even lead to lens opacity, cataract and retinal damage. The damage of microwave to human eyes is mainly due to the lens opacity caused by thermal effect, leading to the occurrence of "cataract". There are many applications of laser in industry, medical treatment and scientific research. If the laser is projected on the retina, it can cause burns. If the laser is larger than 0.1MW, it will cause eyeball hemorrhage, protein coagulation, melting and permanent blindness. Its protection is to spray tin tetrachloride on the surface of the lens and metal compounds that can improve the conductivity. It is to add a thin layer of tin oxide metal powder on the outer surface of the optical glass to form a multilayer conductive film on the surface of the lens, which plays the role of shielding microwave. Because the microwave can pass through the lens and enter the eye, the frame should also be shielded to prevent the damage of the microwave to the eyes.
Anti laser mirror
It is able to prevent the radiation of laser to the glasses. The shape of the glasses is wind mirror type. The lenses must be equipped with closed or semi closed frames to prevent the laser from bypassing the lenses and entering the eyes. The lenses are mostly made of polymer synthetic materials and can be replaced. According to the principle of anti laser radiation, anti laser glasses are divided into reflection type, absorption type, reflection absorption type, explosion type, photochemical reaction type and color changing glass-ceramic type, which can be used as protective glasses for laser operators. The requirements for lenses are very high, such as the selection of light source, attenuation rate, light reaction time, optical density, light transmission effect, etc. Different nm lasers need to use different bands of lenses.
